Think about scope.

Mastering the Scope: The Goldilocks Zone

As a Solution Engineer, your superpower is the ability to visualize a complete end-to-end transformation. However, when working with Agentic Engineering in a time-boxed capstone, the biggest risk isn't technical failure—it's scope creep. To be an effective Manager of Agents, you must define the 'Goldilocks Zone': a project that is complex enough to demonstrate the power of Cursor, but focused enough to be fully functional within 20 minutes of building. Avoid the 'Swiss Army Knife' trap; instead, build a precision tool that solves one high-impact problem for your NGO.

Stick to Your Skillset

While Cursor is incredibly capable, its performance scales with the quality of the 'Skills' (context and instructions) you provide. In this workshop, you have installed the Official Salesforce Skills and learned to build your own. We recommend sticking to the following high-probability areas for your demo:

  • Automated Logic: Apex triggers or complex Flow logic generated via structured prompting.
  • Data Architecture: Schema changes, custom objects, and field relationships that power the NGO mission.
  • User Interface: Lightweight LWC components or record page enhancements.

Avoid deep dives into high-friction areas like Digital Experience Sites (Communities), Agentforce, or OmniStudio unless you have already pre-loaded the specific documentation and metadata definitions as Skills. Remember: Cursor is your lead developer—give it a clear roadmap and the right tools, and it will deliver a 'Belief Moment' that resonates with your audience.
