Executing the Sprint
With a technical blueprint in hand, you are now moving into the Act phase of Agentic Engineering. This 20-minute window is designed to simulate the high-pressure environment of a pre-sales discovery gap or a last-minute demo adjustment. Instead of manually writing boilerplate Apex or painstakingly configuring every custom field, you will leverage Cursor's Composer in 'Act' mode to execute your plan. The goal is not perfection, but a functional 'Minimum Viable Demo' (MVD) that proves the value proposition for your NGO customer.
Managing the Agentic Flow
During the build phase, your role shifts from an individual contributor to a technical manager. To maximize efficiency, keep these three principles in mind:
- Work in Vertical Slices: Don't try to build the entire backend then the entire frontend. Build one functional path (e.g., a Lead intake form that triggers a specific flow) and verify it immediately.
- Provide Real-Time Context: If you encounter a Salesforce deployment error, copy the error message directly into the Composer. The agent can usually diagnose metadata conflicts or missing dependencies faster than a human can search Documentation.
- Keep the Human in the Loop: Use Cursor’s 'Diff' view to review code before accepting changes. Ensure naming conventions align with the NGO's branding and that business logic reflects the narrative you planned in the previous module.
Remember, the speed of Agentic Engineering allows you to iterate. If a specific component is taking more than 5 minutes to get right, pivot or simplify. In a 20-minute build, momentum is your most valuable asset.
